Sour Ginger Limeade with Raspberries

Cool, crisp, refreshing!

Cool, crisp, refreshing!

This limeade is not for the feint of heart, it is Sour City!  The ginger makes it totally refreshing as temperatures climb to 90F in my home town today.  For a sweeter cold beverage, try muddling raspberries with the ginger at the bottom of each glass instead of using lime juice.

Ingredients:

Soda water

Juice of 4 limes

Small chunk of fresh ginger, grated

6 or more sweet raspberries

Lime zest to taste

Ice

Squeeze the fresh lime juice into two glasses.  Add half of the grated ginger to each glass.  Add the ice and lime zest to the lime-ginger mixture and gently top with soda water.  Garnish with the sweet raspberries.

Be sure to use unsweetened soda water in this tasty summer drink.
